Construction crews successfully completed this project in January 2018. A H2Flow system was installed, to provide CERMAQ Canada with a 30m3/hr waste waster treatment system. Work included power distribution, fully integrated PLC and automation controls.
Completed at the end of 2017, this project was one of our favourites. Working with BKC Contracting and the folks at Tofino Brew Co, we completed a brewery expansion and relocation into their new space. MEC took charge of the installation of all process equipment, controls and distribution, as well as the front of house tasting bar.
Project complete spring of 2018, MEC crews executed the electrical construction of the new Tofino Distillery. Installation included the GENIO process equipment, bathrooms, lighting as well a the tasting bar.
Our industrial crew completed the installation of a new AKVA feeding system for Creative Salmon in the summer of 2018. This included all control wiring, power distribution and commissioning at a remote on-water location in Clayoquot sound.
In summer 2017, MEC crews took care of the control and automation construction at Tinlet Ice Plant in Port Albion for CIMCO Refrigeration. This project included the wiring of a fully integrated PLC, multiple control panels, gas detection, field wiring and commissioning.
New to Tofino in 2018, Summit Bread Bakery was a great project. MEC crews completed the construction of a new industrial kitchen and front of house customer area. Projects included large equipment power requirements, industrial ovens, ventilation and lighting.
MEC is proud to serve the District of Tofino on any and all of their electrical needs. We take care of all of the sewage lift stations, two water treatment plants, solar arrays, generators and everything in between.
Project is still ongoing and began in fall of 2017. The overall project consists of the construction of 5 new washrooms within the Pacific Rim National Park, and all surrounding infrastructure that surrounds them. Highlights include supply and installation of a new waste water electrical kiosk, complete with Multismart controls at Wickanninnish Beach.
MEC is proud to be working once more with BKC Contracting on completing another Waste Waste Treatment Plant in Tofino. This project has just began in December 2018. More information to come.
Started in 2019 and to be complete the summer of 2021 with Tritech. This project includes the electrical design and construction of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and pump stations for the Ahousaht First Nation community.

In 2019 for the Lift Station upgrades: install multiple control panels, grounding system with ground fault monitoring system, start-up and commissioning.
In 2021, supply and install of new genset, kiosk, transformer, and soft-start control panel from Softac.
Working with Ridgeline Mechanical in the summer of 2021, MEC Projects completed the VFD install for well #3.
MEC Projects completed the upgrades for the lagoon in 2018: new electrical service and distribution, VFD, and PLC panels installation and commissioning.
